After four startups as CEO and CFO, two turnarounds, and making the Inc 500, Chuck formed CoreValue Software. Chuck has worked with owners of over 50 companies to build value and deliver their strategic objectives, and has helped hundreds of CEOs of private companies as an advisor. Over the past 30 years, Chuck has been at the forefront of private business research including leading teams to create the first comprehensive set of Private Business Standards, Normalized Industry Trading Ranges for private businesses, and industry specific algorithms. His research papers and interests include the impact of generational change on long term employment, the transferability of mid-market private businesses and its impact on local communities, and the operational impacts of structural changes on performance and value. Chuck has a BA in Economics from Williams College, and a ME from MIT in Engineering & Business. He has four children and resides in VT with his wife, Jeanne.
George has 20 years experience in senior management and executive roles across a variety of industries including technology, telecommunications, and boutique manufacturing. George developed and sold bundled hardware and telecommunication services for VueCom and NuVision Technologies, and helped services provider VSPAN transition their offerings from copper telecom to IP. His sales and marketing background includes sales to Fortune 500 and top internet service carriers. George earned his B.A. from Hobart College, and J.D. and MSL from Vermont Law School. Outside of work, George hangs out with his three sons; he recharges his batteries cooking, and going on funruns with his dogs.
Phil has more than thirty-five years of experience as a designer and developer building software systems for a variety of applications. These include financial and engineering modeling systems, GIS mapping interfaces, client-server EMR medical applications, real-time hardware controllers, electronic software purchase and distribution systems, PC asset management systems, and fine-art printmaking applications. For ten years, Phil developed web sites showcasing artist portfolios. Currently, Phil specializes in user interface design and web application development using Ruby on Rails. He served as Director of Information technology at Vermont Public Research Interest Group. A graduate of Dartmouth College, Phil has two grown children and has been a Vermont Resident since 1989.
Sue has over 20 years business operations experience in a variety of industries, including banking, telecommunications, education and renewable energy. Prior to joining CoreValue, she helped build a start-up solar installation company to a national enterprise, with operations in 15 states. She has a multi-disciplined background, which includes prior positions in operations, marketing, purchasing, sales, and human resources. A graduate of the University of Vermont, Sue lives with her husband and two children in rural Vermont.
